As a foreign student, studying in the middle of the Trump government’s strong anti immigration policy, I knew how it felt to be othered. Going from your home country where you take belongingness for granted to a country where you are judged for what you eat, how you speak and even how you smell, I found peace in reading books, especially comic books. Inspired by Maus, this project was a part of my submission for CFDA.
